Fairfield Museum Exhibition: “From the Ground Up: Fairfield’s Foods”
The food we eat helps define us. It is woven through our cultural traditions and our local landscape, as well as into wider global economies. This exhibition will explore how local foods are important to our traditions and how they have shaped Fairfield and our region’s identity over time. Explore the kitchen with a closer look into ingredients from the farmers’ fields, the ocean, and the forest, and share your own special food memories.
Cover to Cover: How People Bind Their Books
On view during regular Library hours, November 8, 2019 – February 9, 2020 This exhibition will cover different types of books, from miniature books to enormous folios, gold-stamped publishers’ bindings to stab-stitched paper wrappers, treasured bibles to ephemeral almanacs, 19th-century marbled papers to 15th-century stamped leather, and more! CT Audubon – Healing Through Nature: Gentle Yoga and Meditation
A new series of Healing Through Nature classes incorporates the benefits of yoga and meditation.
