The Pequot Library 20th Annual Art Show “The Story of Art” invites the public to celebrate as the Artists share the stories behind their work. There will be a week long Art Exhibition, Sales and Related Programs, including programs for children, art talks, and art demonstrations. The fundraiser is to support the Pequot Library.
Presented with the Fairfield Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee. Cyclists will explore the history of Fairfield and get some exercise and fresh air at the same time! Visit and learn more about Fairfield’s cemeteries and burying grounds. Rain date: Sunday, October 22. Registration required.
Girl Scouts will be “going green” and working on nature-themed badges at The Connecticut Audubon Society. Teacher-naturalist staff will lead explorations through the diverse wildlife habitats of the Larsen Sanctuary while satisfying some of the requirements for badges. Wine, Beer, Cheese, plus more – at the seventh annual Red, White & Brew! A wine and beer tasting to benefit the Fairfield Foundation for Education organized by Greens Farms Spirit Shop. A silent auction and cheese and goodies to nibble between sip. All proceeds fund grants for programs that enrich the curriculum and stimulate learning in the Fairfield Public Schools. Tickets can also be purchased on the website or at the door.
You’ll have a fun – but not scary – experience being escorted through the luminary trail and learning about nocturnal animals in their natural habitat. After the hike, enjoy indoor activities and snacks. Dress for the weather. This event is held rain or moonshine! No strollers please!Guided walks leave every 15 minutes beginning at 5:15 p.m. The last walk leaves at 7:15 p.m. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Trick or treat in an enchanted and not-too-spooky environment, formerly “Trick or Treat on Safety Street,” this new town-wide event will include a kid costume parade, entertainment, crafts, games, and more! Put on your costume and prepare for fantastical fun! Recommended for families with kids 12 and under.
