ABOUT THE ARTIST PAUL SIEGEL

“As an Illustrator and Designer, I have always loved the style and glamor of vintage posters. Like Rock and Roll...It’s a style that will never die. The style that caught eyes in train stations in the 1930’s look every bit as good hanging in your home today. The thing that set them apart, was the simplicity of the design. Colors were flat and unnecessary details were omitted. They depended on Color, Light, Shadow and Shape to create a scene. I think my work pays homage to the great poster artists of the past: Tom Purvis, Roger Brodeurs and Adolph Triedler.  I hope they would approve that their simple, elegant style lives on.”
