Fairfield Arts Commission: Spotlight Series - Frankie Frieri

Meet Frankie Frieri, an award-winning tattooist and abstract artist, who is the owner of Three Roses Studio at 1177 Post Road in Fairfield.

Three Roses, which opened in 2016 was the first tattoo studio in Fairfield, CT. The studio, which has two rooms, is an art gallery and also private tattoo space. Upon entry into the gallery, Frankie’s abstract artwork is prominently displayed on the walls among a collection of rotating artists and their work. His art has been displayed at galleries in London, Paris, and Amsterdam, amongst others. The gallery space also hosts different events, such as a knitting group, book and poetry readings, and even yoga classes.  In the tattoo parlor portion of the studio (it’s very welcoming, like you’re hanging out in someone’s living room), Frankie specializes in Japanese and American work. It was so cool to see all of the drawings tacked to the wall of prior pieces or upcoming work.

Frankie shared that being a part of the Fairfield arts community means “To show and teach the public of Art and different ways it can enhance and change their lives.”
