2nd Annual Fairfield Oktoberfest This Saturday, September 14
The public is invited to come celebrate the 2nd Annual Fairfield Oktoberfest to be held this Saturday, September 14th at the FTC lot located at 70 Sanford Street in downtown Fairfield. Hosted by the Fairfield Parks & Recreation Department, Experience Fairfield and Fairfield Theatre Company, the event is being held, rain or shine from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to Fairfield Oktoberfest is free and open to the public.
This year’s program will feature live music by the Grammy-nominated polka band, Dennis Polisky & Maestro's Men, as well as local favorite, Fuzz & Friends. A variety of seasonal beers will be on tap from local Elicit Brewing Company and Counterweight Brewing Company, among others. Next Century Spirits will be offering tastings of their Nue Vodka and Numbskull Flavored Whiskey along with other favorites. Attendees can also partake in axe throwing and corn hole, and purchase special Oktoberfest-themed faire from several participating food trucks including Bonkers Cupcakes, Liberty Rock, Rye Bird, and the Fairfield University Sand Bar. A number of nearby restaurants will also have take-away food available for purchase, including Archie Moore’s Bar and Restaurant, Captain’s Pizza, Nauti Dolphin and Tabalo Wine Bar & Restaurant. Commemorative Fairfield Oktoberfest t-shirts and steins will also be available for purchase.
Community & Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart shared, “We’re pleased to host the 2nd Annual Fairfield Oktoberfest, and to be partnering with so many great local brands and especially FTC, one of the premier live music venues in the State.”

Attendees are urged to park for free in the Fairfield Train Station Lot. Sanford Street will be closed to thru traffic. Attendees should also note that no outside coolers/food/beverages will be allowed at the event.
