The public is invited to come celebrate the 2nd Annual Fairfield Oktoberfest to be held this Saturday, September 14th at the FTC lot located at 70 Sanford Street in downtown Fairfield. Hosted by the Fairfield Parks & Recreation Department, Experience Fairfield and Fairfield Theatre Company, the event is being held, rain or shine from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Admission to Fairfield Oktoberfest is free and open to the public.

This year’s program will feature live music by the Grammy-nominated polka band, Dennis Polisky & Maestro's Men, as well as local favorite, Fuzz & Friends.  A variety of seasonal beers will be on tap from local Elicit Brewing Company and Counterweight Brewing Company, among others. Next Century Spirits will be offering tastings of their Nue Vodka and Numbskull Flavored Whiskey along with other favorites. Attendees can also partake in axe throwing and corn hole, and purchase special Oktoberfest-themed faire from several participating food trucks including Bonkers Cupcakes, Liberty Rock, Rye Bird, and the Fairfield University Sand Bar. A number of nearby restaurants will also have take-away food available for purchase, including Archie Moore’s Bar and Restaurant, Captain’s Pizza, Nauti Dolphin and Tabalo Wine Bar & Restaurant. Commemorative Fairfield Oktoberfest t-shirts and steins will also be available for purchase.

Community & Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart shared, “We’re pleased to host the 2nd Annual Fairfield Oktoberfest, and to be partnering with so many great local brands and especially FTC, one of the premier live music venues in the State.”

The event organizers wish to thank the many sponsors who have helped make the 2nd Annual Fairfield Oktoberfest possible: Boca Grille & Raw Bar, Elicit Brewing Company, Nue Vodka, Numbskull Flavored Whiskey, Hotel Hi-Ho, Circle Hotel Fairfield, Vintage Garden, Art/Place Gallery, Counterweight Brewing Company, Northeast Beverage, ConnectFairfield, Fairfield Moms, and 203 Local.
